About

Sky Garden is a rooftop vegetable garden at the University of Toronto.  The garden is volunteer-run and produces approximately 500 lbs of fresh, organic vegetables every year. Most of our harvest goes to the student food bank.

Sky Garden is a project of The Food and Water Institute (FWI), a Canadian registered charity. We use Sky Garden to provide educational and research opportunities in the fields of organic gardening, winter gardening, composting and seed saving through workshops and tours.

If you would like more information about Sky Garden, or to view our workshop and tour schedules, please visit our FWI Page or follow garden updates on our blog.

Sky Garden maintenance and volunteering is coordinated by the Urban Agriculture Society, a student group. If you would like to volunteer with SkyGarden, please contact us.
